Our films have been selected. Congrats to all of the filmmakers that will be screening their films this year. If you are a filmmaker coming to Wi******er for the screenings, please remember that we work closely with Project Write and their Young Screenwriters' Conference. Their special guest and keynote speaker this year is filmmaker Dorie Barton. They will be taking registrations through March 7. And remember, the conference is early on Saturday before the VEFF shorts blocks start, so you can do the conference and not miss any films at the Alamo Drafthouse. Tessa Morell started featuring films at VEFF when she was still in high school. She has had films featured in several editions of VEFF and won several awards. Tessa is now working on her SCAD Senior Thesis film. It feels like she just left for college! There is an Indiegogo campaign right now in case you want to find out more about her film.

Submissions for our 2025 festival open tomorrow! Submit on FilmFreeway and save the dates of March 14 & 15, 2025. In the meantime, a reminder that our "Best Film" winner automatically gets added to the Lost Weekend Festival at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Wi******er, VA. Read here about Lost Weekend, which includes the VEFF winner CROSS as well as 30+ features, multiple advance screenings and several special guests.
