It was a busy afternoon at the fort site today. Greg H., David, Bryan and FIWF BOD member Marc Robinson worked steady and were able to beat the threatening rain clouds. I kept busy rechecking the fill dirt before it went into the now exposed areas. The volunteers were able to remove many of the old concrete stepping pads from around the front and south side of the house. Fill dirt was then the pinpointed with md, a layer of top soil added and grass seed applied where the concrete had been. Let the skies open up now and get that grass growing. Foundation BOD member Linda Ross stopped by to check on the progress and offer encouragement Marc Robinson also generously donated the purchase of the topsoil/ grass seed that was required. The hard working crew was also treated to lunch at the local pizzeria by Marc.
