Today marks the 249th anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes on June 14, 1777. Fun fact: the U.S. flag has had 27 official versions over the years, with the current 50-star design in use since 1960. ⭐

June 14 is also the birthday of the U.S. Army, which was established in 1775. 🎂🪖

⚠️❓🚨🏛️📄🔍👀 Winder City Council Places City Administrator Jonathan Lynn on Administrative Leave

The Winder City Council voted this week to place City Administrator Jonathan Lynn on administrative leave.
The vote occurred with no public discussion, no explanation was provided during the meeting, and no interim city administrator was announced.

Lynn was hired as Winder's city administrator in September 2024 after previously serving as city manager in Rincon. As city administrator, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the city government.

The action comes just months after an outside investigation cleared Lynn of discrimination allegations that had been raised earlier this year.
At this time, it is unclear whether the administrative leave is related to any previous matter.

Administrative leave is not, by itself, a finding of wrongdoing and can be used for a variety of personnel or administrative reasons.

Hump Day Check-in: We've officially made it over the noon hump, so it's all downhill from here to the weekend. 😄

The good news? It's Wednesday.

The bad news? It's still Wednesday. 😂

Some of us may have received our property tax assessment notices in the mail recently, so that probably isn't helping brighten the day much.... 💸😬

But hopefully today's sunshine is helping boost the mood a little. ☀️🌳

Welp ... we didn't quite make it to the wrestling tonight at Finished Goods Brew Werks as planned, but we made a few other stops! Le Gabrielle Crepes & Waffles for dinner and Summit Rooftop for sunset & drinks & then Tacos n Social de Jalisco for dessert (they have FROZEN drinks now!) 🍹😋 then Donatello’s The Urban Trattoria for a nightcap! 🤷‍♀️
