TV
THE inspiration of the AWOFOFORMBARadio and later TV - currently our YouTube channel is KING JESUS.
It all began some 6 years ago when during our much loved Saturday morning prayer time dubbed THE METHODIST HOUR the Word came clearly “This thing you are doing must be shared to others”. ״This״ meaning the PRAYER TIME.
The quest began immediately in obedience to God’s directive to put together PRAYERFULLY first the know- how, the equipment and then the personnel for the online project.
The name that came to mind was AWOFOFORMBA and means children of the new birth in accordance to our heritage as Methodists and to reflect whom we pray our audience will turn out to be.
The whole project birthed in CTK PRAYER was thus to be church based and church owned hence programs were conceived with church organizations in mind. Thus each of our Organizations was to project and reflect its objectives and ideals in its allotted program. PROVERBS31KLINIK for example is a WOMEN FELLOWSHIP based program as it’s signature tune “Ma ye Edwuma ama Ewuradze”, a special ode of the Women Fellowship portrays. We are still working on getting all the other organizations to own their programs. God willing they soon will.
Other programs have been lined up to highlight mostly our faith as Methodists and People of the Book. Scripture is read daily thrice and Hymns and Canticles are common place. We have also deliberately emphasized our Ghanaian roots with slots like Gospel Local and From The Archives.
We have gradually introduced LIVE PROGRAMS which have also proved successful by God’s Grace. Chief of them is OUR METHODIST FAITH hosted by our Caretaker Pastor Joseph and is aired on Tuesdays also on Facebook and lately on our YouTube channel AWOFOFORMBATv.
We have also been blessed by PRAYER@MIDNIGHT originally introduced by Evangelist Henrietta ADJEI which is an hour of prayer held from 11:30pm to 12:30am every day but our Lord’s. This idea is same that led to the WELCOME NEW MONTH prayer time we hold at the end of each month.
We have had listeners from all over the world tune in and we are grateful. We need to stress that this online tool is CTK’s mouth piece and a major means of Evangelism. It comes in handy being online and thus accessible to anyone anywhere in God’s great earth who has internet. We pray that members of CTK will see this and make it a point to listen to and share the radio to others as their part in SPREADING SCRIPTURAL HOLINESS as our motto says.
We have had outside help greatly from Guest Preachers like Rev Nana Abakah to Presenters like Sis Doris Mantey and Evangelist William Nana Abrefa of Delaware. We dare not forget Bro Kwame ASAMOAH of Charlotte North Carolina who has helped greatly in the technical aspects of AWOFOFORMBARadio. We must mention also the Essiful- Ansah Sister- Karen, Keziah and Rebekah whose contribution cannot be glossed over.
It is important to thank God for the lives of the other member-Presenters too- Sisters Evg Anna Pokuaa Boateng, Juliana Watson and Tina Amoah who through much inconvenience and trial work gratis to make program line ups keep rolling on the air. We can by no means forget our indefatigable Pastor Joseph whose support has been God- filled and God-sent.
The AWOFOFORMBARadio & TV have be God’s grace come this far. Ebenezer. By God’s Grace we will continue SPREADING SCRIPTURAL HOLINESS in obedience to a directive given one fine Saturday morning during prayer.
