Rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, founding frontman of Black Sabbath and widely known as the “Prince of Darkness,” has died at age 76. Famous for defining heavy metal with anthems like “Paranoid” and “War Pigs,” Osbourne’s career was marked by boundary-pushing performances, personal turmoil, addiction battles, and a wild public image. Despite enduring decades of controversy and chaos—including the infamous 1982 bat-biting incident—Ozzy often spoke about his belief in God, describing himself as a Christian and rejecting the “satanic” label pinned on him. In his final years, Osbourne found a measure of redemption, sustaining his faith and devotion to family until his peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones.

God is converging paths and uniting the global Church for Bible translation: Something remarkable is unfolding in Bible translation right now. On the one hand, there are decades of foundational work by a family of Bible translation organizations, on the other hand, there’s the vibrant, growing local church movement marked by an enthusiasm and a passion for reaching the unreached, and these two pathways are converging.

Kasajja Abdul Maliki, a 37-year-old recent Christian convert in eastern Uganda, was attacked and killed by his Muslim relatives after he refused to return to Islam. Maliki, who had embraced Christianity in April and was active in Bible study, was discovered praying at home during mosque hours when his relatives forced their way in, tore up his Bible, and fatally stabbed him. The incident, part of a pattern of religiously motivated violence against recent Christian converts in Uganda, highlights the ongoing risks faced by individuals who leave Islam, despite the country’s constitutional protections for religious freedom.

Argentine authorities have launched a sweeping investigation into Pastor Jorge Ledesma and the Iglesia Cristiana Internacional, tied to alleged money laundering and tax evasion linked to the construction of the extravagant $50 million "Portal del Cielo" mega-church—where President Javier Milei recently appeared. The probe involves lifting financial secrecy over unaccounted “miracle” donations, missing financial filings, and scrutiny of supernatural finance seminars. As forensic audits seek to clarify whether faith-based giving was abused, the outcome could reshape national dialogue on religious transparency and financial oversight.

Eight healthy babies have been born in the UK using a pioneering IVF technique that combines DNA from three people—the intended parents and a female egg donor—to prevent the transmission of severe and often fatal mitochondrial diseases. The children, who are the first confirmed cases born free of these inherited conditions, have 99.9% of their parents’ DNA and 0.1% from the donor, a genetic change that can be passed on to future generations. While the achievement is hailed as a medical breakthrough, it has also ignited ethical concerns among scientists and Christian groups over embryo destruction during the process and the potential for “designer babies”.

Many children called “orphans” actually have living relatives, but poverty—rather than the absence of family—is the main reason they end up in institutional care. A firsthand account from Eswatini shows that reuniting children with family and strengthening communities leads to far better outcomes than orphanages. With 80% of kids in care still having a parent, the push for family reunification and local support marks a shift toward dignity, belonging, and long-term transformation in countries hit hard by disease and poverty.

Argentine authorities have launched a major financial investigation into Pastor Jorge Ledesma and the Iglesia Cristiana Internacional, a mega-church recently unveiled in Resistencia as the country’s largest evangelical auditorium. With an estimated construction cost of at least $50 million and ties to President Javier Milei—who delivered a speech at its inauguration—scrutiny has intensified around the church’s financial transparency. Prosecutors are examining suspected money laundering and tax evasion, pointing to the church’s years-long failure to file financial statements and its reliance on large anonymous donations. The investigation, still in early stages, also raises questions about the church’s “School of Supernatural Finances,” promises of wealth miracles, and decades-long influence in the region. No formal charges have been filed yet, but the case underscores a high-profile clash between faith, prosperity, and financial accountability in Argentina.

UN expert warns gender ideology undermines protections for women and girls: ‘You cannot protect what you cannot define’: A United Nations human rights expert has issued a stark warning that the erasure of biological s*x in international policy and discourse is causing grave harm to women and girls, weakening protections against gender-based violence and silencing those who defend s*x-based rights.
