🚀 North Shore Real Estate is Moving! October 2025 Market Highlights:
The North Shore market showed dynamic shifts this October!
Winnetka took the top spot with a median sales price of $2,275,000, marking a 28% increase year-over-year.
Glencoe was the sales growth leader, with homes closed up 117% and the fastest market cycle at only 7 Median Days on Market (DOM). Wilmette was a close second with 8 DOM.
Deerfield and Lincolnshire saw some of the biggest price increases, up 41% and 47% respectively.
The median price in Northfield saw a significant drop of -51% to $650,750.

🚢 50 Years of the Legend: Today, November 10, 2025, marks the 50th Anniversary of the tragic loss of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald and its 29 brave crew members on Lake Superior.

The Great Lakes are an incredible gift: a source of unmatched natural beauty, endless recreation, and the world's largest supply of surface freshwater. 🌊

But beneath that beauty lies a powerful, reality. These lakes are also a tireless, vital commerce lane, carrying the lifeblood of our industries—and they can be dangerous. The wreck of the "Mighty Fitz" reminds us that even the largest, strongest vessels can be swallowed whole by a November gale.

☀️ Spring & Summer: Storms and Heat
Wind & Hurricanes: Trim trees, secure loose outdoor items (especially trampolines!), and consider reinforcing windows and bracing garage doors.

Tornadoes: Identify an internal, ground-level, windowless safe space. Storm shelters are a wise investment in prone regions.

Roof Defense: Schedule regular inspections and consider upgrading to high-impact (Class 4) shingles, metal, or clay tiles.

Extreme Heat: Boost efficiency with proper insulation and attic ventilation. Service your HVAC system regularly and consider a standby generator for power outages.

Wildfires: Create a "defensible space" by clearing dry brush, cleaning gutters, and using non-combustible landscaping materials near your home.

🌧️ Fall & Winter: Water and Freezing
