π¨ Meet Micah The Artyst π¨
Micah The Artyst, a self-taught mixed media collage artist and first-generation entrepreneur. A survivor of a traumatic head injury and three-month coma at age ten. A story that became his lifeline during recovery. This experience became the foundation of his practice, where personal healing evolved into community empowerment.
This transformational journey led to launching his artistic practice led company in 2018. His breakthrough work Black Boy Meadows has circulated nationwide through HomeGoods, while his pieces have been featured at High Point Furniture Market. His practice has been supported by artist residencies including Creative Greensboro: GROW (2023), The CMPND NC: Artistic Elements (2025), and North Carolina Climate Justice Collective: TapRoots (2025β2026), alongside recognition including the Nguzo Saba Community Champion Award (2023), ACE University's Education and Leadership Excellence Award (2024), as well as Certificates for both Recognition and Distinguished Service from the The Young Peoples and Children Division (2025).
Building on his outer body experience, Micah, a certified Life Coach now advocates for Mental Health and with a passion for neuroscience. Micahβs work features simplified, genderless figures that serve as symbolic mirrors for radical introspection. His work investigates transformational visual communication principles as therapeutic catalysts. Currently focusing on inner sustainability and the showcasing of consciousness capabilities through up-cycled artwork.
