The late great Dusty Hill was born on this day in 1949.

Pictured is one of the saddest images in rock history: Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top performs next to an empty microphone just days after the band's bassist Dusty Hill's death in 2021.

The pair had been friends and bandmates for over 50 years.
