Big thanks to the Teamsters and Stagehands in Detroit last night, from “Thank you goodnight” to walking away we loaded 2 semis in just one hour.
Great bunch of guys and fun to hang out with.
Double stacking two trucks is hard work, and it can get done with guys complaining the entire time or guys making the best of it.

Paul McCartney, along with John Lennon, wrote the song specifically for Starr. The track was a little d***y, which was both a friendly tease of their bandmate and, from a performance standpoint, a character that Starr could portray well. “We always liked to [write a song] for him. It had to be not too much like our style,” McCartney explained to Barry Miles in Many Years From Now. “I think that was probably the best of the songs we wrote for Ringo, actually.”

As for the “singing out of tune” bit, Lennon and McCartney accounted for that. “John and I wrote this song within a vocal range that would cause no problems for Ringo,” McCartney later said. “We tailored it especially for him. And I think that’s one reason why it was such a great success for him on Sgt. Pepper.”

Just heard that my friend Steve Cropper passed away today. This picture is from December 1991, the day I met Steve & Angel, the future Mrs Cropper. She was the female lead in the very first Confederate Railroad video, She Took It Like A Man, & the picture was taken during a break from filming. Steve, Angel & I became quick friends after that. Steve & I have written songs together, played many times on stage together & shared many meals together. When we would write, along with our friend Blue Miller, much of our time was spent telling old stories & Steve had some amazing stories to share. What a life that man lived! Love and prayers to Angel & family. Rest easy old friend, Danny Shirley

December 6, 1993.
An important date for Nirvana.
On this day, the double single “All Apologies / R**e Me” from the In Utero album was released. It became the last single the band put out before Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994.
This release reflects the duality of Nirvana:
“All Apologies” with its melancholy and melodic sensitivity.
“R**e Me” with its raw power and controversy.
Although it wasn’t commercially released in the United States, it did come out in other countries on CD, vinyl, and cassette.
This single marks the end of a musical era, showcasing the mature and emotional sound Nirvana had reached. It continues to remind fans of the lasting influence Kurt Cobain and the band left on rock and grunge.🖤
