The Scarab Key: Escape Room prop.

This is a custom fabricated prop that we designed and made for an escape game. Initial scope was to just make a wrench that would open a hidden door in the tomb. We offered to kick the immersive design up a notch and created this scarab themed item with historical reference. The client loved the extra creativity and the guests enjoyed the extra detail that made the game fun.

3D Printed Projection Mapped model

Flashback to 2015: We 3D printed this scale model of a design for a projection screen stage set. The production was an imaginative version of Peter Pan. The blank set allowed for set changes in a small theater using projection mapping. We used our 3D Systems 650 powder based printer.

Faux stack of fire wood

Flashback to 2012: We fabricated this fake stack of Norwegian Spruce logs for the Norway pavilion in EPCOT's World Showcase. We started by fabricating a welded aluminum armature. We hand sculpted and texture stamped the entire surface with 307 FR Lite sculpting epoxy. After the scenic painting the illusion was complete. The product is durable, will not give gusts splinters, and with not deteriorate in the Florida weather like real wood.

Faux wood barrels with iron bands

Flashback to 2012: We fabricated a stack of fake wooden barrels for the Norway pavilion in EPCOT's World Showcase. We started by distressing a barrel half and molding it with Rebound 25 and a mother mold of FRP. We cast out two FRP copies with intrinsic coloration and hand sculpted and texture stamped the inside with 307 FR Lite sculpting epoxy. After the scenic painting the illusion was complete. The final hidden touch was a disk of Type 1 PVC recesses in the bottom to attach it to the concrete in a discreet way. The product is durable, will not give gusts splinters, and with not deteriorate in the Florida weather like real wood and iron.
