Graham Greene (born 1952) is a renowned Indigenous actor from the Oneida Nation, raised in Ohsweken, Ontario, part of the Six Nations of the Grand River in Canada.
He rose to international fame for his role as Kicking Bird in Dances with Wolves (1990), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor — one of the first Indigenous actors to receive this honor.
Throughout his career, Greene brought Indigenous representation to Hollywood with depth and dignity through films like The Green Mile, Thunderheart, Wind River, Longmire, and 1883.
In 2015, he was awarded the Order of Canada, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the arts and his role in amplifying the voices, stories, and truths of First Nations communities.
