Krystal Alexandria is an Emmy® Award winning Director and Emmy® Nominated Editor who was born in Cairns, Queensland Australia.

She was born profoundly deaf and received Cochlear Implants at the age of two.

She discovered her passion for film in high school, went to Griffith Film School for a year then moved to Orlando, Florida in 2015 to pursue her dreams as a Film Editor.

Krystal Alexandria shared many great tips for those wanting to pursue work in a film making career. Pointing out that networking and mentors are essential.

She shares what still makes her uncomfortable and how she is embracing getting comfortable with the uncomfortable to become better at everything she does.

I’m super excited to welcome Krystal Alexandria of Krystal Clear Media to the Spotlight Thursday, April 1 at 8 PM ET. We will be on Instagram Live on my page .

Krystal is an Emmy® award winning Director and Emmy® nominated editor who is born in Cairns, Queensland Australia.

She was born profoundly deaf and receive Cochlear Implant’s at the age of two.

She discovered her passion for film in high school, went to Griffith Film School for a year then moved to Orlando, Florida in 2015 to pursue her dreams as a film editor.

Some of the amazing projects she’s worked on include feature films Everything That Glitters, Falling in Love Again, When it Comes Around and a show for UMC Network, Bronx SIU. (Now called ALLBLK).

She’s also one best editing awards for ‘The Ferryman’ and The Smartest Mo********er in the Room.’

Krystal’s Emmy® award and nomination were for her work on the documentary, ‘We Kept America Great.’

 Krystal has also worked as DIT on Johnson & Johnson commercial, Disney Theme Park commercial, A House Divided Season 2, Bronx SIU Season 1&2, Ladies of Law Season 1 and recently Gold Rush Season 11.

Coming up, Krystal is off to Alaska again as a DIT for Gold Rush: White Water.

Krystal’s goal is to be the first deaf filmmaker to win an Academy Award.
