✨ Wonderful Wednesday ✨
On the corner of Marks and Laurel Avenues in Orlando sits the Ingram House, designed in 1935 by James Gamble Rogers II. When Mrs. L.C. Ingram admired the nearby McAllaster House and asked Rogers for a replica, he instead created something new—using the same floor plan but dressing it in French Provincial style with Venetian flourishes.

Here, heavy timber gives way to a delicate lattice balcony, the courtyard becomes a cloister, and a trefoil arch greets visitors at the entry. Even the rooflines “sag” in Rogers’ signature fashion. He later cited the Ingram House as one of his favorites—a testament to his gift for reinventing beauty without repeating himself. (photo by Phil Eschbach)

Dinky Dock Beach is now fully opened!

Recent water tests show safe bacteria levels, and it is once again safe to enjoy the water. Thanks for your patience and we will see you at the beach!
