I felt called to be a part of this toy drive, and it’s amazing how far an idea can go when shared with the right people. One conversation turned into another, and door after door opened as I shared the opportunity to be part of the STEM Gift Drive.

What mattered most to me was not doing this alone.

From day one, The Florida Roofing Contractor saw the vision and helped turn an idea into real impact. Because of that momentum and the incredible partners who stepped up, this became something bigger than any one person.

This wasn’t just about toys. It was about community, alignment, and showing up for something bigger than ourselves.

Today I won the P.I.M.P. Award in my BNI

P.I.M.P. = Perfection In My Presentation.

My presentation was;

“‘Twas the night before Christmas.
Not a soul was in signt.

Santa parked his sleigh on the roof just right.

As he went for the chimney to make a child’s night.

He slipped off the roof because the granules were too light.

This is why you need Big Man On The Roof.

The last thing you want to do is have to deal with the police and explain why everyone else is not having Christmas because Santa now needs a cast for his leg because you kept putting your roof and saying “it’s fine!”

Thanksgiving hits different when you’re grown.
You walk in the house and suddenly realize everybody leveled up.
The kids got taller, the uncles got louder, and the aunties still swear you “look bigger in person.”

Today’s not about the chaos. It’s about the pause.
The chance to look around and realize these are your people.
Your history. Your future. Your roots.
Even the ones who take the last roll like it’s a hostage negotiation.

I’m grateful for family, for growth, for peace,
and for the fact that none of y’all asked me to check the roof today.
(But if you do… I brought my ladder. I stay ready.)

Enjoy the food, the laughs, the football,
and that nap you’re absolutely lying to yourself about not taking.

Last night lit something in me.
Not motivation, purpose.

I’ve spent years in a profession where it’s all about closing, selling, and getting the next thing across the finish line. When you live in that space long enough, your focus narrows without you even realizing it.

But now,
I’m choosing to widen that focus.
I want to pour into something bigger than me.

On a Zoom call last night, the conversation reminded me how good it feels to serve without expecting anything back, to help someone who can’t repay you or boost your business, to simply make a difference because it matters.

That sparked something.

That’s why I got involved with the STEM Gift Drive, powered by the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida.
I’m stepping in to amplify the mission and rally our community. I’m calling on local businesses to set out a donation box, collect toys, and help bring joy to kids who need it this holiday season.

I saw an opportunity to help, and I took it.

And the momentum has already been real.
People are stepping up.
Businesses are joining in.
The fire is lit and I’m looking forward to continue stoking this flame. 🔥 🔥 🔥

When I met this homeowner, he told me:

“I’ve been meaning to get my roof taken care of… I just never got around to it.”

And he’s not the only one.

We ALL know someone whose roof is in rough shape, but life is moving so fast that fixing it drops to the bottom of the list. You get home, you shut down, and you don’t want another problem waiting for you at the door.
