Let me share with you another dental malpractice story involving a gentleman whose dentist failed to timely diagnose decay underneath his dental work. As a result of that he needed extensive dental restoration.

How did this gentleman find me? He watched the same video as described above, “Dental implant horror story” that compelled him to pick up the phone and call to ask for more information.

I was able to settle his dental malpractice case for $150,000 which generated an attorney’s fee of $48,166.45.

In 2004 I started learning about a concept called education-based marketing and was applying it to articles on my website. Two years later, in 2006, YouTube came online and said they were now accepting user generated content. I had no idea what that meant, but I was intrigued.

My goal was to learn how to use education-based marketing in my articles and apply it somehow to video. That prompted me to explore YouTube to see if any attorneys had posted anything useful for their potential clients. In other words, what were attorneys doing to attract consumers using this new medium? The answer was ‘virtually nothing’. There were some enterprising marketing people who were posting attorney commercials on YouTube. That made no sense to me. Why would anyone in their right mind want to waste 30 seconds of their life watching an attorney commercial? There were some lawyers who posted their CLE lectures in the entirety. Talk about boring. These lectures were geared toward other lawyers and were not consumer friendly.

I thought ‘Why can’t I create an educational message on video’ that will allow a consumer searching for an attorney to get to know me and realize I have information that they need? That was my goal when trying to figure out how to create my very first video.

Listen as Alberta Canada attorney Steve Grover details making a claim for disability and medical benefits through your own auto insurance company.

In Alberta, such benefits are called Section B benefits. Section B benefits are available if you’ve been determined by your doctor to be completely disabled because of your auto accident injuries.

Your payment from these benefits will be up to $400 a week for 104 weeks following the accident. Additionally, if your doctor recommends medications and treatment, you may recover these costs up to $50,000 for 2 years following the accident.

There are strict guidelines requiring the submission of a Section B claim in Alberta. First, you need to notify your own auto insurance company. You then have 30 days to complete the Section B forms from the date of the accident. If there is a dispute about your injuries, the insurance company has the right to have you examined by their own doctor. This is called “independent medical examination”. Importantly, if you don’t make a Section B claim in Alberta, the amount of money that you can recover could be affected.

1. Create a Video Marketing Plan
This starts with accepting and understanding the mindset of your ideal clients. Put yourself in their place, stop thinking that they really care about you and accept the fact that what they are really looking for is someone who is competent… a professional who will gain their confidence and is someone they can trust.

Once that understanding is in place, start formulating content. Remember, this is all information that you know and they don’t. If you can't come up with anything, start by making a written list of the 10 or 20 most common questions you find yourself or your staff answering over and over again. These FAQ (frequently asked questions) are a very good place to start.

2. Implement a Video Content Marketing Program
Have a program in place that is efficient and repeatable, a program that will allow you to regularly plan, produce and publish the video content your ideal clients want, need and are searching for.

3. Make the commitment to continue a Video Content Marketing Program over time
While adding video to your website will make a difference, the real payoff of any
Video Content Marketing effort is realized by creating the right type of New Relevant Video content then consistently publishing that content over time (has a nice ring to it… right?)

Let me share with you the story of a mom who believed that her 15-year-old daughter had improper dental care.

Her daughter had gone to the orthodontist for the purposes of evaluating whether she needed braces. The orthodontist determined that she needed to have certain teeth extracted in order to make room in her mouth to allow adult teeth to come down and put braces on.

This young girl went back to her dentist with specific instructions from the orthodontist about which exact teeth to pull. Six months later, upon returning back to the orthodontist for follow-up, it was learned that this young girl had two permanent teeth extracted instead of two baby teeth.

Later that day, mom went online to look for information about dental malpractice and found a video I created titled “Dental Implant Horror Story.” She found that video interesting and compelling enough to pick up the phone and call me to ask for more information.
It turns out that mom and her daughter had a valid case that I was able to settle for $97,500 shortly before jury selection. That generated an attorney’s fee for me of $26,659.49.

The first video I created started immediately generating calls from viewers who said “Mr. Oginski, I just saw your video, can I ask you some questions?”

What earth-shattering topic did I talk about that prompted people who didn’t know me to pick up the phone and call me? Something no lawyer had ever talked about online… “How to Hire a New York Medical Malpractice Attorney.”

I was somewhat shocked, since I had no idea how to create video.

The very first video I did was done sitting six inches away from my desktop Mac computer using my built-in we**am and I had to ask my kids how to turn it on. I put on a shirt, tie and jacket and while sitting in shorts in my home office, I placed a gray projector screen behind me so nobody would see me sitting in my home shooting this video.

The video quality was awful. The glare from the computer screen was clearly evident in my eyeglasses. The video was six minutes long and I looked like a fish. I just didn’t know any better.

With a hip replacement device, a ball and cup are placed inside the hip. The ball then rotates inside the cup, giving a natural movement much like your hip before being replaced. The metal parts can be the ball and cup. As they rub together, small metal particles can be shaved off and enter your blood stream.

Obviously, metal is not good for the body. Patients have experienced high levels of cobalt and chromium resulting in metal poisoning. Patients may also suffer difficulty walking, nerve pain, and may even have to have another hip replacement device installed. Watch this video now to learn more.
