👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼 After much thought and consideration this page will be deactivated in the near future. I’ll lay out the two main reasons, but there are quite a few.
First, people are a lot. This has never been a money making endeavor for me (in fact I spoil them to the point that I’d never make more than I spend lol). It was about the love and enjoyment of the birds and their babies. However, I deal with enough unreasonable people in my day job, I don’t have the time or patience to deal with it here.
Second, the rescues are overrun. These birds are being surrendered daily. I no longer feel confident that I can easily find great homes for my babies. I feel I’m contributing to a huge problem and I cannot stand that feeling. These birds are far too special to be passed around like objects and mistreated.
With that said, I’m not rehoming all of my birds and it will be a slow process with the ones that I am rehoming. I’m teaming up with some dear friends who have offered to take a pair at a time to work with them and help me to find them wonderful, loving homes. Most of my birds were hand raised by me and I’ve maintained interactions with them to the point they are not aggressive and would stand a chance to be great pets once retired from breeding.
