A night at the ballpark should be something anybody in town can say yes to.

Wisconsin Rapids has an older population, and the Rafters built for it. The Interactive Handicapped Accessible Venue opened at Witter Field in 2014 with help from the Northwoods League Foundation. Fans in wheelchairs get a real view of the game, and concessions come straight to the seat. The team also cut food prices this season. An $11 hamburger is now $8.

A Rafters staffer said it plainly. "You don't want to have accessibility to be an issue, you know, so that if you're in a wheelchair, you can come."
