Day 2 at the Cuming County Fair. Here's the schedule of 4-H shows today. I'm covering Swine, Rabbit, and Horse shows along with the Fashion R***e tonight. Should be an interesting day for me. Get out to the fair if you can.

IT'S OPENING DAY at the Cuming County Fair. Here is the schedule for today (Thursday, Aug. 6). I am assisting the Cuming County News is their fair coverage this year. Today I will be covering the Goat, 4-H and FFA Dairy, and Sheep shows. If you are at one of those shows say hi. I'll also be around taking pictures and checking everything out at the fairgrounds during the day.

The Wisner Jr. Livestock Show was held June 22, 25-28, 2026 down at Wisner River Park. I had a great time covering as much as I could of the whole show. I'm sure some of you have seen some of my photos in the local newspaper already from this, but I thought I would show off some favorites and interesting ones that I took during the show. GROUNDBREAKING THIS FRIDAY!!! There will be a groundbreaking for a new basketball court in Dinklage Park in memory of Cole Uhing. The court will be a full sized fenced lighted court with spectator seating. It will be open year round. The event is open to the public and will start at 10am.

CHECK IT OUT!!! The Wisner Pool will be offering water aerobics on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 14 through August 6. Starts at 5:15pm and goes until 6pm. Admission is $3.

Check this out!! Update to this post. It will be 45 minutes instead of 30.

The Wisner City Council will be having a Special Meeting on July 9, 2026 at 6:00 P.M.
