This is an in house Tikka rebarrel into 25 Creedmoor. I had high hopes for the ballistics it was going to make, and I was not disappointed. With barrel lengths being equal, it will have less wind drift than 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5mm Creedmoor beyond 400 yards.

8.6 Black Out in-house build. 250 gr Barnes LRX, with a Super Sonic load. 16" barrel produced 1780 fps MV. It probably was not conceived as a 500 yard cartridge, but that's how we do it around here.

The reason the ammunition we make shoots so precise, is because of very tight tolerances held on every step. A laboratory scale that graduates in .02 gr increments. There are 7000 grains in one pound. Weighing every powder charge to .02 gr tolerances ensures consistent velocities from each shot fired. Bullet seating depth is measured throughout the load process to ensure the proper bullet jump to barrel lands is maintained. A low ES (Extreme Spread) means no vertical fluctuation of bullet impacts at medium and long range.

A client brought us a Pre-64 Wi******er 70 in .243 Win. He's read enough of me writing about the 7mm-08 Ackley Improved that he wanted the rifle rebarreled in it. But, he wanted to keep the original look of the old model 70. Lilja barrels was the only manufacturer I could find that matched the Pre-64 Wi******er 70 barrel contour. And it was coming in stainless steel. I told the client we could cerakote the steel to make it look blued. A custom house blend we have developed. Lilja sent more than enough barrel tenon to work with.

A rifle build was requested to be used for whitetail, Axis, Pronghorn as well as Elk and Aoudad. So, we needed to make one rifle be a "Medium Rifle" and a "Large Rifle". 7mm Rem Mag with a light load, as well as a heavy load. Berger 168 gr Classic Hunter 2780 fps MV. And a Berger 180 gr VLD-Huning 3050 fps MV.
