I'm learning and evolving, with the Holy Spirits guidance
I'm finding my WORTH in God's love
I'm breaking old habits and old ways of thinking
I'm fighting to figure it out
I've fallen and been knocked down, more

times than I can count - BUT I refuse to stay there
I've shifted my focus from external refinishing to *internal refinement* with Christ at the center

💕 🇺🇸 What a COOL idea!!

Mad props to my precinct 🙌 for involving their students in such an important event for our country.
If I could have taken one of each cutie hand-drawn sticker, without looking crazy, I would have! Some were misspelled, and others were symbolic of our state and country; it gives this sticker and everything it symbolizes a greater meaning. I usually don't wear them, but I'm proud to stick this one on my shirt today!

Learn to celebrate the “small” successes along the way - that GET YOU to the end goal!

So many times, I felt I wasn’t “successful” until I had reached the finish line. As I thought about it, I realized I was doing myself a disservice by not even acknowledging each forward movement as such.

As I thought about how it would feel to give myself credit for every step I took along the journey toward my goal, I started to feel excited! I began to think about how damaging it was to only look at “success” in a singular way.
i.e., “It wasn’t until you achieved ‘The Thing’ that you could feel successful.” What an unfortunate mind frame to ONLY allow myself to feel accomplishment at the very end.

As I reframed how I thought of success when working toward a goal, I realized these things…

By giving yourself credit for each step you take, you feel empowered by what you’re doing. You hold your head higher. You feel more confident through the entire experience. You have allowed little room for negative thoughts and self-doubt to creep in and slow you down. You can enjoy the journey more and grow your confidence along the way.

I repeat the words of this post often, sometimes daily. I still find myself needing a friendly reminder to celebrate the small steps. Whoever needs to hear it, let it be a constant reminder to you as well!

You are SUCCESSFUL in EACH STEP you take toward a new goal! FEEL it! Give yourself CREDIT for it! Be EMPOWERED by it! And CELEBRATE it!

Without taking the steps forward, you would never reach the finish line! They are essential, and so is your mind frame surrounding them. Give them ALL the credit they deserve.

I pray you continue moving toward your goals with your head held high!

Friends…👋

I am so GRATEFUL to be pursuing a career I absolutely LOVE! I have found what I do best and have been blessed to serve others while doing it…what a GIFT, truly! 💞

Entrepreneurship can be REALLY hard. Not a day goes by where I don’t have a motivational speaker in my earbuds as I’m working on growing my custom refinishing business. It is so important that I have POSITIVE women in my ears to help push me, encourage me, guide me, and teach me throughout my journey as an entrepreneur. That being said, there is a small list of “go to” POWERHOUSE ladies who have a killer podcast that I listen to EVERY TIME I work. If you haven’t heard of let me just say…IT’S TIME YOU DO!! I’m constantly uplifted by her messages, humility, and motivating vibes. The latest episode NEEDS to be one you listen to TODAY! Just the beginning story about Lupita…c’mon 🥹…it’s a very short and beautiful reality check that we all need to hear. in a nutshell...

If I'm not holding a paint brush, you'll likely find me running around with my 4 kids; who do a great job keeping me alive, active, and busy. Life here is anything but dull, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Since I was a young, I've had a love for color, fashion, décor, and design. Since 2010, I have been intrigued with finding old pieces of furniture and tailoring them to fit into my own home as well as others. It excites me to give new life to these lost gems that have so much character and hold so many stories within them. All of my clients have unique needs and their own personal style and I love that no two jobs are ever the same.

I primarily serve clients in two ways:

Custom Furnishings - My experience here lies in either working with clients on finding an antique piece specifically for a space, refinishing a piece a client currently owns, or working with a family piece passed down from generations to custom fit a clients current style. I have also collaborated with local artists to customize specific pieces.
