Breaking News: From the Cradle to the Grave: Treeland Nursery Sold to Cemetery

Valley News Group has confirmed that the Boething family, owners of Boething’s Treeland Nursery at the edge of Woodland Hills and Hidden Hills, has sold the 32-acre property and it will be developed as a cemetery. It will be similar to other sites owned and operated by the buyer, Comparable Property, which operates the Pierce Brothers Memorial Park in Westlake Village, Pierce Brothers Valhalla in North Hollywood and Eternal Valley in Newhall. According to the City of Los Angeles, no additional zoning approvals are required for cemetery use, so there is not expected to be significant, if any, public input in this process. The City of Hidden Hills released a statement saying, “It is important to note that the City of Hidden Hills has not been a decision-making party in this process.”
