CinemAddicts #357 covers movies releasing week of 8/14/26. Eric’s top pick is the An Eye For An Eye from Jolt.film. My big recommend is the wedding comedy Do Us Part from filmmaker Reed Arnold. Subscribe/listen to our Podcast if you want a weekly diet of indie/under the radar movies. There is a ton of cool films out there that are not getting huge theatrical releases or land at the top spot of the big streamers. Eric Holmes, Bruce Purkey and I try our best to spotlight these films. Also props to Julia and The Anza, A Calabasas Hotel for the Anza Burrito (i wax poetic on it b4 we start movie reviewing). One of Eric Holmes’ top picks this week is Big Baby (Big Baby Film), a horror film that hits VOD on Friday, August 7. Eric was particularly impressed with filmmaker Spider One’s nuanced Screenplay. Feature stars Brandon Scott and Krsy Fox. Listen to our latest CinemAddicts episode for Eric’s review. 12 Angry Men was my pick this week. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me upon my second ever watch. If u have never seen the film and you dig courtroom dramas, you’re missing out. I purchased it on Criterion last week but was too lazy to open and went for streaming instead.
