Good Morning! Happy Friday 🙂

This girl is one of my grow outs from our free range flock.

I’m pretty sure she has some polish in her. I only have one polish hen, she is black. But, for whatever reason, I am obsessed with this bird lol

Who else in TN feels like we won some kind of “lottery” today?

I mean…I’ve dreamt about these temps for so long lol. This Tennessee heat has been something else this year! Constant take your breathe (and maybe even a desire for anything you EVER had 😂😂😂) away it’s been so stinking hot and humid!

Yesterday, it was almost 100 degrees. Today, the first day of Fall, we have amazing temps!! Please don’t let this be some kind of sick joke 😂

Okra loves the heat! Some is going into the freeze drier and we are gonna have some for dinner ❤️❤️

You wanna know how I’m dealing with this rediculous heat?

Last week I visited my adult children in Indiana (the weather there was dreamy!)

I stopped at an orchard on my way home and brought home 1 ½ bushels of yummy apples!

I’m making all things apples! It may be hotter than Satan’s breath outside, but I’m dreaming of FALL inside, in the air conditioning 😂😂

And NOTHING is going to waste! I currently have SIX gallons of Apple Cider Vinegar going ❤️❤️

Good Morning!

I hope everybody is able to find plenty of ways to stay cool. It’s supposed to be another 100 degree day here in TN 🔥🔥🔥

Things are slowing down around here. The garden is fading. Or should I say the garden has faded lol.

Oddly though, the chickens are kicking into high gear!

Look at these colors! 😍 Every time I collect eggs, I still get so excited over the different shades—from the soft blues and greens to those deep, speckled beauties. And the collection is so different everyday.

I just can't bring myself to crack the pretty ones right away! ❤️
