Don’t look now but we have the #2 ranked NCAA Div 1 Men’s Soccer team in the country over at Bryant University!

Rhode Island is officially home to one of the best college soccer programs in the country. The Bryant University Bulldogs have climbed to No. 2 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25, marking the highest national ranking in school history and making Bryant the only ranked NCAA team in any sport across all of New England.

The Bulldogs’ rise has been nothing short of remarkable. After sitting at No. 17 just weeks ago, Bryant has surged through the ranks thanks to an 11-game unbeaten streak, including a dominant 5–0 win over UAlbany that featured five different goal scorers. That performance was the most goals scored in a single game by any America East team this season.

Behind that success is a lockdown defense that has allowed just five goals all year, and an offense that’s averaging over two goals per game. Goalkeeper Enzo Carvalho leads the conference with five shutouts and an 84% save rate, while Mamadi Jiana continues to power the attack with five goals and one of the top shot totals in the America East. Marc Pitarch Bayot has been the playmaker, leading the league in assists.

Bryant (11-0-1) will look to keep the streak alive with a stretch of big matchups including a trip to Princeton and a massive home game vs. defending national champions Vermont on October 25th.

With a win or even a tie, Bryant could make history once again and become the No. 1 ranked men’s soccer team in the country right from Smithfield, Rhode Island. ⚽️🥅😲
