It is that time of year again. The 4th of July, and to many folks this means celebrating with fireworks. Once again, the Gravel Pit area on the Dump Road will be a legal place to discharge fireworks on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Local emergency crews will be on hand or supporting all three of these evenings from Worland Fire, BLM, Cody Regional Ambulance, Worland Police, and Washakie County Sheriff's Office.

As a reminder; PLEASE help us, help you to continue the use of the gravel pit area for fireworks. There are dumpsters in the gravel pit area. Please pickup after yourselves and those in your party by putting your garbage and spent fireworks in the provided dumpsters.

More pets are reported missing on July 4 and 5 than at any other time of the year. Why? It's pretty simple: animals find loud noises terrifying. This goes for both dogs and cats. The good news is that losing a pet is preventable. Here are some ways to stay prepared!
