Monday, February 8, 2016 (Tyler, Texas) - The 2nd Annual Moto Masters Suzuki Cup Series is less than one month away from the opening round at Swan MX Raceway Park on Saturday, March 5th. The Texas Motocross Group (TMG) series was designed to allow riders from 25 years old and up a place for themselves.

The results is for the second year, Suzuki will offer factory contingency at all six rounds. While every bike is welcome to ride in the series, Suzuki has increased its support to over $50,000 for any rider competing on a Suzuki who scores a Top 5 (restrictions apply go to www.RaceSuzuki.com for details).

With 6 rounds spread over 8 months, the riders are given plenty of time to recover physically and financially. The greatest part is that riders don't wait around all day for one class while sitting around listening to little bikes running around every where. The tracks involved are dedicated to running an efficient program to allow riders to get home in time for Sunday church and family time since all the rounds are on Saturday's.

Online registration opens on Monday, February 22nd and remains open until 11pm on Tuesday, March 1st.

One of the amazing stories of the Moto Masters Suzuki Cup Series is that many riders say how out of shape they are. Then they find out, so is everyone else (well many of the riders). That story repeats itself in just about every class. Some riders have not raced in over 10 years, but the Moto Masters is set up for every skill level. Plus some like to kick back after the race and just have a couple (well) beers to bench race.

Vet 30+ A:
While Matt Karlsen owns the points lead, Clayton Miller and Aaron Smith have also scored overall wins in the class. Neil Malson, Steve Kidd and Jason Hyde have all stayed consistent while they fight for 3rd, 4th and 5th overall in the series. Aaron Smith or Derek Kemp could jump back in and spoil the party for everyone but since Aaron and Derek have only raced one round, they will be dropped and the others will move up in points.

Vet 30+ B:
Wayne Huckaby leads Jason Shaffor by a mere 4 points and since Jason won the last round at Swan, the question is whether or not the momentum has changed. Brad Wolfe is out of the points after moving up to the "A" class at Swan. Since Wolfe is no longer a factor, Stosh Skinner and Jeff Odom are left to fight over 3rd and 4th. One hiccup from Huckaby or Shaffor and the Skinner/Odom pair could play hardball for more points. Kevin Horn is sitting quietly in 7th could move up as riders are dropped from the points at the last round.

Vet 30+ C:
Cody Harris has only lost one overall thus far and has a commanding lead in the 30+ Novice class. Eric Gardner and Travis Foyt are tied for 2nd overall with 32 points. Justin Huckaby is the other rider with an overall win at round 1, but that was his only race to attend thus far. Chad Tycer sits 5th overall however from 6th to 11th overall, the points are only separated by 8 points.

Vet 30+ Beginner:
Andres Borba has won every moto thus far, but he only leads second by 9 points. Michael Puyear has gone 2-2-3 for 2nd overall the points are close all the way back. If not for a rough round 1 for Ariel Deshays, he would be closer to Puyear. For now Deshayes is 12 points back in 3rd overall. Only 9 points back in 4th is Daniel Chogri. If Chogri looks back, he will see Jesse Palacios 3 points back and ready to move up. Roger Clay could grab a handful of throttle and jump up a couple spots; who knows in the Beginner class.

Vet 30+ Womens:
Melanie Lock has the number spot firmly "locked" in her hands. Charlene "Cha-Cha" Campbell has stayed consistent in 2nd overall. Depending if Kristin Nance, Allison Lovaas or Elisa Cole make the next two rounds, the points may get closer with only two rounds and four points-paying moto's left.

Early registration opens this Monday, August 31st for Round 4 (Sept 12th) at Oakhill Raceway just outside of Decatur. Don't forget to check in on our Facebook Events page.

There is no doubt that Round 3 of the Moto Masters Suzuki Cup Series at Swan MX Raceway Park this Saturday, August 15th will not be rained out. With that said, it is August. Early registration remains open until tomorrow at 11pm, Tuesday, August 11th.

So what are the plans for this weekend? To get the racing done quickly. How are we going to do that you ask?

1. The practice groups will be condensed so we can get the two rounds done quicker.
2. There will not be a lunch break between moto's one and two.

Don't miss out this weekend. Trey and Sarah Clingfost are doing everything they can so all the Vet riders can enjoy a day of racing at Swan MX. Come on out to support the series along with the track owners.
