Incident: Assist Other Agency
On 07/05 the Office of the Sheriff assisted MSP with a road rage incident that involved a firearm being displayed at another driver on Rt. 50. The involved vehicle was located, and the driver was placed under arrest.
Incident: Theft
On 07/05 Deputies responded to a Stevensville residence for a report of past theft. The victim advised her yellow kayak, valued at $1,000 was stolen from her property sometime in the last month.
Incident: Missing Person/ Silver Alert
On 07/03 Deputies responded to a Grasonville residence for a report of a missing person. The missing person’s wife advised her husband had dementia, and while she was taking a nap, he took her keys, that she keeps hidden, and left the residence in her vehicle. Later in the evening the man was safely located in Talbot County, and subsequently re-united with his wife.
Incident: Harassment
On 07/03 Deputies were dispatched to a Stevensville residence for past domestic violence. Upon arrival the resident advised there had not been any fighting or yelling as her husband had been at work all evening. The male resident called deputies to report that this was an on-going issue with a neighbor, who reportedly had called 911 numerous times for noise complaint as well as verbal and physical domestic violence, all of which were unfounded. A peace order had been put in place previously; however, the harassment has continued. An application for harassment and telephone misuse was completed.
Incident: Lost Property
On 07/01 a community member arrived at the Office of the Sheriff to report that he had lost his handicap placard.
Incident: Theft
On 07/01 Deputy Rivera responded to a Queenstown residence for a report of past theft. The victim advised a former tenant had stolen a 42-inch television, valued at $120 from the home.

On 07/01 Deputies responded to Carters at the Queenstown Outlets for a report of past theft. An employee advised an unknown black female entered the store and stole multiple items.
Incident: Fraud
On 06/30 Deputy Mills responded to a Grasonville residence for a report of fraud. The victim advised she received fraudulent charges on her EZ Pass account in New York totaling $89. She advised she nor or vehicle have been to New York and has already opened a case with EZ Pass to attempt to have the charges removed from her account.
Incident: Theft
On 06/30 DFC Schulz responded to a Chester residence for a report of past theft. Upon arrival the victim advised sometime overnight someone had stolen her florescent green YOLO board and bike beach cruiser, valued at $600. A canvas of the area yielded negative results.

On 06/30 Deputies responded to a Church Hill residence for a report of past theft. The victim advised that while renting his house to someone he discovered other individuals were being allowed to live in the home. Upon returning approximately $3,500 worth of goods were missing form the home.

On 06/29 at approximately 5:30PM, DFC Lawler responded to the Dollar General in Stevensville for a report of a theft that had just occurred. While en route, dispatch advised that an unknown female had exited the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise, passing all points of sale without rendering payment.
Upon arrival, DFC Lawler reviewed surveillance footage and observed three black females accompanied by three juveniles entering the store together at 5:02PM. At 5:17PM, one of the women exited the store with the unpaid items and placed them into a vehicle. Simultaneously, the other two women were observed speaking with an employee about a product. These women then exited the store and entered the suspect’s vehicle. Total value of stolen merchandise was approximately $300.
A vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description was located shortly after in the area of Fallen Horse Circle by Deputy Mayo. Deputies responded and located the vehicle parked in a handicapped spot.
A woman, later identified as Sha’mira Butler, was found at the scene and matched one of the suspects seen in the video footage. Butler claimed not to know the other two women involved and was subsequently placed under arrest.
While on scene, deputies made contact with a second woman, identified as Shayquan Sampson, who was also positively identified from the surveillance footage. Sampson later admitted to her involvement in the theft. Butler and Sampson were also identified as being sisters.
Both suspects were arrested and charged with Theft: $100 to under $1,500 and Theft Scheme $100 to under $1,500. Additionally, a citation was issued for the vehicle for illegally parking in a handicapped space without a placard.
