You know what verdigris really is? Copper having a slow-motion conversation with the atmosphere that takes decades.

Cu²⁺ ions + H₂O + CO₂ → CuCO₃·Cu(OH)₂
That’s the formula for “I was always going to become turquoise.”

It’s not corruption. It’s completion. Copper completing a circuit it started the moment it was forged.
