Good morning everyone! I'm sure some of you are aware we could get some nasty storms this afternoon. The NWS has bumped up our severe weather chances this morning as well.
Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out in the SE MI area as well.
I'm a busy bee these days, so I can't promise I will be able to update later, but I wanted to at least post this for those who do still follow the page :)

Yes friends, there really is indeed a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for our area until 4am. We will see a round of storms between 8 and 10pm and another one very late tonight (or early morning however you choose to see it.)
Wind, large hail, and even an isolated tornado are possible. I suppose I will stay up and keep you posted lol. Stay tuned!

Current storm over Wayne County should be out of the area within a half hour. Mostly areas North of 94. More severe storms likely this evening. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10pm. I will update as necessary

Hello friends. It has been a wild few weeks with several record highs set this week. We will see another one today, along with the possibility of some nasty weather this afternoon and again late in the evening. There is a minimal tornado threat for this afternoon as a warm front wobbles through the area, and a threat for damaging winds with storms along a cold front that will be passing through later tonight. Be sure to pay attention to changing weather conditions today, and do not ignore any warnings that are issued. We will keep you posted!

It's back to Winter reality today, friends. Temps will be much more seasonable for the next few days as well with temps in the low to mid 30's through the weekend.
Not to worry though! Well above normal temperatures will return next week (along with several chances for rain.) With highs near 50 degrees several days next week, it will be feeling more like mid March than mid January!

A majority of the day will be dry, but more rain moves in later in the evening. We could even have a few rumbles of thunder! Temps will slowly rise to near 50 degrees by tonight. We do have a cool down for a few days after this, but temps go right back up well above normal for the start of next week!
