Wylie City Council meets Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Wylie City Municipal Complex, Council Chambers, with several opportunities for residents to speak and share their thoughts, concerns and requests.
Public hearings include:
• 2026-27 city budget — What should Wylie prioritize with your tax dollars?
• Proposed property tax rate — Council will hear public comment on the proposed rate of $0.596554 per $100 of assessed valuation. Residents may speak for or against the rate.
• Proposed Costco development at 2002 W. FM 544 — A zoning change is proposed for 25.484 acres to allow a Costco wholesale retail development, tire and battery services, and a fueling station.
What do you think? Residents can weigh in on the budget, taxes and proposed development. If you attend, consider bringing specific questions, concerns or requests for council.
