I have been coming to Nashville for years and on a more regular basis now for the last 18 months or so.

All those trips, not once had I made it by the Gibson Garage…until today.

Had some time and opportunity and was in the area. Took me a little stroll through to get some inspiration.

Looking to do an SG as an upcoming project. There were a few on hand that may have helped me solidify that decision!

Blues Monday!!

Mr. Tinsley Ellis, born in Atlanta Ga 1957…

I am just discovering Tinsley Ellis, so far, everything I have listened to has been excellent.

He is an exceptional guitar player and at times exudes a little , SRV, Shmlin, Guy and Collins in his playing style.

Well rounded and diverse, no two songs sound the same.

Required Listening - Midnight Blue (album) 2014.

What’s on everyone’s guitar agenda for the day?

Me and the “Greeny” are mobile today. Headed to the local Guitar Center to play on a couple of amps I have been eyeballing.

Like most that will be in the store, I am sure I will spend hours defiling their gear and leave with a packet of strings. 🤣

So…The Trash Panda…as I posted the other day is a side project I picked up off Marketplace. This was the day after sorting through all of my parts I have hoarded.

The mission when I bought it, to not “buy” anything new for it and only used the parts I had on hand to get it to a playable state.

No particular reason other than that is just what I decided to do.

I had everything but a cavity cover so, determined not to buy one…I just made one out of an already cannibalized Tele Pickguard.

Was it easier? Nope…did I spend 2 hours making a shoddy version of what I could have bought for $5…YUP! 🤣😜🤣
