So…I have spent too much time looking at guitars on line this week and saw several very cool guitars equipped with Bigsby ViBrato units.

I have been aching to mod the P90 Hardtail in some manner…I think I have found it..,THIS IS THE WAY. 🤘🤣

Just need to drill and fit an LP style bridge, probably recessed a bit into the body, button down the newly acquired Chigsby….and boom!

More to come as I go down this spiral of madness! 🤘

Thro’back Thursday!

3 years ago…I was preparing for my first “show” to launch my CBG’s. Busted my ass to get 10 guitars built and ready to show, demo and have available to sell. I think I finished the last one the night before the event. 🤦🏼‍♂️😆

It was a fun day…loads of interactions with potential buyers and enthusiasts. I sat in a chair and talked all things guitars, played and watched others play the creations I had put together. I couldn’t have imagined how fun all of that was actually going to be.

The guitars pictured, 2 ended up being purchased locally, 1 went to Chicago, 1 to Baton Rouge and 1 was re-homed in Cleveland.

Worth every minute I put into it. 🤘

Every time I even think about “re-homing” this Junior…I pick it up and play it. Never fails I will try something different with it and it CONVINCES me that it needs to be a forever guitar.

Tonight it was learning a little Free - The Stealer. That P90 and a little Fuzz Bender was magic! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Happy Humpday!

Today will be “Workout Wednesday”! These two guitars force me to be a better player by making me work on technique, emphasis with my fretting hand.

An acoustic always challenges me because I started learning on an electric. So yes, spoiled and never developed a ton of hand strength from fretting. So I have dedicated that I will play this acoustic at minimum a few times a week to help me work on that.

The old SG is a fun one and brings those challenges or deficiencies to light as well. The Kay is in desperate need of a refret but I just won’t do it. It plays but it takes some attention and focus the other electrics do not require due to those diminished frets.

If you can add a challenge to your routine AND keep it fun…well, that has to be the ideal way to learn! 🤘
