Happy Monday everyone.
I want to start this off with thanking everyone that has helped me and supported me through this journey. It's been a rough ride this last year but we made it. With that being said, it's time for a new journey. I have taken the last few weeks and deeply thought about what is best for my children and I. The Wynnewood Gazette is for sale. My wish is that someone with roots in Wynnewood would buy the paper and make it their own. But I unfortunately cant wait forever for that to happen. August 31 will be the last edition for the newspaper. Please call or text me if you are interested in owning a business that truly matters. The possibilities are endless. I can train anyone and all of the equipment and programs will be included with the sale. I promise, there is more to the newspaper than you know and Wynnewood needs their small town paper. I am just not the right person to continue it. Thank you Wynnewood for having me and I just want to add something..

I hope Wynnewood will learn to stand together instead of divided. Be kind, be humble, and love each other.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

CVR Energy Statement Regarding Wynnewood Refinery

Wynnewood, Oklahoma (May 23, 2023) - CVR Energy confirms that today at approximately 8:20 a.m., a fire occurred in the gasoline hydrotreater at the Wynnewood refinery operated by its subsidiary. Two employees were injured and were transported offsite for evaluation. All other employees have been accounted for. The source of the fire has been isolated and emergency crews are working to extinguish the fire.

Company officials are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident.

There was an explosion at the Wynnewood Refinery today. We are praying for all of Wynnewood today. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers. I am waiting for confirmation on all of the details before I put information out that isn’t the exact truth. I will update as soon as I can. I do know there were injuries but no fatalities confirmed.
