It’s Friday farmhouse friends! Today on “Life on Birch Lane”, our Brand Ambassador, Jennifer, , is sharing patriotic and summer inspo!

There’s just something special about decorating for summer in red, white, and blue. From the front porch to the patio and every cozy corner in between, I love filling our home with simple touches that celebrate the season and the reminder of our freedom.

Vintage flags, weathered baskets, old quilts, rocking chairs, fresh flowers, and a few treasured thrifted finds all come together to create a look that feels both nostalgic and like home. It doesn’t have to be elaborate—sometimes the most meaningful spaces are created with pieces that tell a story and remind us of what matters most.

As we kick off the summer season, may we never take for granted the freedoms we enjoy or the sacrifices that made them possible. ❤️

Wishing you a summer filled with gratitude, laughter, porch sitting, backyard dinners, and great memories made under the stars.

🇺🇸 How are you decorating for summer this year?

❤️🤍💙

Happy Friday farmhouse friends! Today on “Life on Birch Lane”, our Brand Ambassador, Jennifer, , is sharing a fun flower garden DIY in part 3 of her cottage garden decor series.

I’m continuing to add decor elements that create fun, whimsy, and a unique look to my flower bed. So far, I shared how to turn a colander into a planter, created teacup bird feeders, and this week, we are repurposing old sconces into bird feeders.
Supplies needed:
• scone with candleholders
• spray paint (if desired)
• wooden post or space to attach
• screws / screwdriver / impact driver
Simple steps: (detailed steps in stories!)
🌸 paint sconce if preferred
🌸 determine location to hang the sconce. Suggestions include a wooden post, tall wooden gate, side of a shed or building
🌸 use a screwdriver or impact driver to attach
🌸 add birdseed to the candleholders and enjoy
Enjoy the bird watching in your flower garden and all of the charm!
Would you try this garden decor DIY? See you next Friday!

Happy Friday farmhouse friends! Today on “Life on Birch Lane”, our Brand Ambassador, Jennifer, , is sharing a fun flower garden DIY in part 2 of her cottage garden decor series.

I am slowly working on a cottage garden in the front of my house. I wanted to add decor elements that create fun, whimsy, and a unique look. Last week I shared how to turn a colander into a planter. For this week, we are creating teacup bird feeders! I love how they add charm to the space while inviting the birds in too.
The best part? You can create these using teacups and saucers you find while thrifting or even inexpensive ones from local stores.

Supplies needed:
• Teacups + saucers (I used new and vintage)
• Chain
• Wire
• Wire cutters
• Needle nose pliers
• Dremel or rotary tool with diamond bit
• 2-part epoxy
• Birdseed

Simple steps: (detailed steps in stories!)
🌸 drill holes in the saucer with your dremel or rotary tool - slow and steady, use water, and a diamond bit
🌸 epoxy the teacup in place
🌸 attach the chain
🌸 hang in your garden on a shepherd’s hook or post

Now it’s time to sit back and wait for the birds to discover their favorite new tea party spot! Happy bird watching!

Would you try this garden decor diy? Stay tuned to see what I do next week in ✨ part three ✨ of my garden charm and whimsy series! See you next Friday!

Happy Friday farmhouse friends! Today on “Life on Birch Lane”, our Brand Ambassador, Jennifer, , is sharing a fun flower garden DIY.

One of my favorite things about decorating outdoors is finding unexpected ways to add charm and personality to a space. I am a little late planting all of my flowers this year, but I’m slowly adding in more plants and fun to my flower beds. For this little garden project, I picked up an old colander from the thrift store and turned it into the sweetest hanging planter basket!

I drilled holes around the edges, spray painted it, added chains and a hook, then filled it with flowers and trailing greenery. I love the cottage feel it brings to the flower bed — fun, whimsical, and definitely one of a kind.

Now I’m officially on the hunt for more thrifted and vintage finds to upcycle into planters because this may be my new favorite garden DIY. 🌸✨
Would you try this with a thrifted or vintage piece? Stay tuned to see what I do next week in ✨ part two ✨ of my garden charm and whimsy series! See you next Friday!

Happy Mother’s Day weekend friends! Today on “Life on Birch Lane”, our Brand Ambassador, Jennifer, , is sharing a yummy flower themed treat. It’s perfect to use at a brunch or get together!

Today on my table, I shared these adorable rose flower pots. But just as special as the treat is the platter I’m serving it on. These dishes belonged to my Granny. In fact, several pieces on my table belonged to my Grandmothers. Using family pieces in your decor is such a meaningful way to decorate your home and keep loved ones close.

🌹Here’s how I made the flower pot roses! 🌹
To get started, make your favorite cookie dough recipe. Scoop a small amount into a mini muffin tin and hollow out the middle. Use a paring knife to create strawberry roses, gently peeling back a thin layer to create the petals. Melt your chocolate and fill the cookie cup. Sprinkle with crushed Oreos and add your flower strawberry to the top. Be sure to check out stories for all of the details!

Have a Happy Mother’s Day weekend and we will see you back next Friday for more of “Life on Birch Lane”.
