Anxiety can feel loud. Dr. August Leming talks about how to meet the moment with kindness. I know a lot of people who live with anxiety and that’s why videos like this feel especially meaningful to work on. From a creative perspective, it’s rewarding to shape visuals that lean into the emotional weight of anxiety without trying to explain it away.

Hey there! Super proud of the latest Documentary I made with the uncomparable Young Fables & Patryk Larney. And it is here (finally) for rental on Amazon!

We shot the last frames of this film in a cemetery just before the world shut down due to the pandemic and I ended up cutting it all through that crazy year of 2020, sometimes with my son, not even 1 year old, on my lap.

I have always been curious about songs and songwriters, about the genius that informs lyrics and curious too about the energy moving around us- how we can open ourselves up to the creative process. This film probes the the very nature of song and how our hearts and minds connect to them.

I cut the film, The Fable of a Song, as an Elegy, as a poem of mourning. This is a film about where songs come from and where they go after they're created. It's a film about the mud all around us and the lotus flowers that still grow despite the harsh conditions surrounding them.

Good things are worth the wait! Congrats to the entire team for winning the Audience Choice Award at the ! We finished the film in 2020 but decide to hold it back from the festival circuit during the pandemic so we could have the amazing experience of premiering it in person! So glad we did! Super big ups to the amazing producers that trusted me to direct & edit the entire film AND I was able to shoot most of it on my which ended up to be the right choice of camera for this story. Can’t wait for everyone to see it!

Couldn’t resist posting a few more pics of my beautiful wife, Dad and some of my favorite people! It means so much to me that trusted me to tell the story of Laurel, Lori, Ronnie, Lindy & Wes. Everyone attached to this film gave themselves selflessly to make art and hopefully help others along the way. From the mud, a lotus appears.
