For the Cheetah Chrome fans,
I took this Photo of Cheetah trying on a jacket originally made for Bobby Liebling of Pentagram. Bobby and I took it down to Austin Texas for the 40th Anniversary of Young Loud and Snotty. We presented it as a gift to the man, and as a thank you for having us be a part of that celebration. I remember him trying it on and just cracking a loose grin and that was that. I snapped a quick shot in the moment, as the scene played out like a Pulp short story. He was someone I didn’t know too well, however Cheetah stayed at my loft in New York City when I was off on tour with the Dickies. He stayed at my place while rehearsing for the LAMF gigs and some local Solo shows. He played my Takamine, and according to sources, he played my Stones records (“flowers” mostly) and left a guitar pic in the headstock for me. I kept in touch with Cheetah over the years, and proudly , yes, loudly called that man my friend. Have you ever heard the term, “don’t meet your heroes?” F$&k that term. I met Cheetah Chrome and I’m glad I did.
