to a visit to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Texas. Sir Thomas Dewar (the same of the Dewars Whiskey fame across the world) sponsored the famous Dewar Cup that was originally meant for the American Amateur Football Association Cup. Yonkers Football Club won the last ever edition of AAFA Cup before they officially were admitted as a member of FIFA in 1913, and the AAFA Cup was superseded by the National Challenge Cup, now known as the . All the winners of the Open Cup have been engraved on the cup, but not the winners of the AAFA Cup. We are asking to retroactively admit Brooklyn Celtic and Yonkers FC to the winners list of this famous cup. Yonkers did not win a national cup in US Soccer again until 1987 when Yonkers Polonia won the separately formed National Amateur Cup. Lansdowne Bhoys / Yonkers are the 2 most recent winners of the Amateur Cup in 2017 and 2021, making Yonkers one of the winningest cities outside of NYC and Milwaukee in Amateur Soccer in America.

It’s a massive honor to celebrate the achievements of players I watched throughout my life as a local soccer fanatic. Giovanni scored a brace in the first ever Metrostars home game I ever attended, a 3-3 draw over Tampa Bay in 1996. 3 of my favorite memories of Mike Grella was watching him beat Man United with Leeds in the 2009-10 FA Cup, and then attending the game where he nutmegged Frank Lampard as a member of the Red Bulls, and then scoring the fastest goal in league history months later against Philadelphia in 2015. I also happened to be in attendance the first match Jose Rivero professional reffed on Mothers Day in 2012, the 3-2 Red Bulls victory at PPL Park where Freddy Adu was pulling magic for the Union, happened right after Man City won their first Premier League title in Englans. Vincent I got to know in my adult life in ENYSSA and USASA, and he is a swell hardworking individual who is still a great goalkeeper. Congratulations to all the honorees, and it’s always a great time to meet my friends in soccer all in one place. Thanks to for coming out with me and introducing yourself before we kick off an amazing 2026.

We wrapped our record breaking year with 209 matches covered. This was an incredibly challenging year, given our commitment to making sure that video quality is miles ahead of all competition. We got to debut a lot of new features, including our 3 angle setup during Motown vs. NJ Copa, and our remote commentary in graphics station that debuted with APSL Mayflower Conference with video operators in MA with commentary from CT, and we launched New Logical Sports+ that unlocked previously non-covered sports to 1,800 paying followers. We recruited over 25 new team members, tried almost 2 dozen commentators, and we constantly receive emails to review potential new team members. Thank you to all the clubs and leagues that have worked with us, and all the viewers. Thanks to our sponsors and investors. We have literally a lot planned in the works in 2026.

We’re delighted to welcome Oisín Coyne — one of the most exciting young voices in Irish and international sports media — to New Logical Sports.

A native of Co. Kildare in Ireland, Oisín brings over five years of elite sports broadcasting experience with Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ, and Off The Ball, working across some of the biggest stages in world sport. He has covered the World Cup, EUROS, Champions League, Olympics, and major GAA action both in Ireland and across Europe. His work includes reporting for The Sunday Game, including coverage of New York’s historic 2025 Lory Meagher Cup victory over Cavan at Croke Park.

Oisín is a sports anchor on Morning Ireland, RTÉ’s flagship current affairs program with an audience of over 470,000 people, and a presenter on RTÉ 2FM’s Game On. He also contributes regular sports segments on The Pat Kenny Show on Newstalk and The Hard Shoulder with Matt Cooper on Today FM.

Over the years, Oisín has interviewed and worked with high-profile sports figures including Shane Lowry, Shay Given, Didi Hamann, Henry Shefflin, and Joe Canning, to name a few.

His broadcasting journey began with commentating on League of Ireland soccer and covering GAA for local radio stations KFM and Midlands 103, grounding him in the heart and soul of Irish sport.
