The City Council agenda for the Sept. 15 meeting is now available. There is a separate agenda for the real estate committee. The real estate committee meets at 6:15 p.m. in the city council chamber. See below for agendas.

Several noteworthy items are to be considered.

Downtown rezoning, five neighborhoods. The Council will declare itself lead agency and set a public hearing on a general ordinance expanding downtown zoning (DMX zone) into five areas: Fernbrook Park, Buena Vista, St. Casimir, Locust Hill, and Yonkers Avenue between Ashburton and Nepperhan. The action covers more than 25 acres, making it a Type I action under SEQRA. The bill was filed Sept. 4, went to the Rules Committee Sept. 9, and carries a fiscal impact form dated Nov. 25, 2025.

Extell waterfront tower. The Council will vote on amending the Planned Urban Redevelopment special use permit for Hudson Piers on Riverside Drive, approved in 2017 for 1,395 units in seven buildings and last amended in 2024. Extell Hudson Waterfront filed in March to eliminate the approved 20-story tower and build a 35-story mixed-use tower with 448 units and 11,788 square feet of commercial space, a 543-space parking structure, a 25-slip marina, a day care center and play area in Building F, and a pedestrian bridge over the Metro-North tracks.

And if that's not all, there's also a 180-day moratorium on new self-storage facilities.
