Officially 42. Sadly still broken, but at least I’ve got a pretty, painful plastic smile. 😂❤️

Grateful to have made it through another year. Hopefully 42 brings a little more healing. I’m so grateful I was able to make it out and have such a beautiful day with the people I love.

Thank you so much to everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes and well wishes, and as always, for all the love and help that’s gotten me this far. ❤️

Still not giving up. There’s more to come. ✨

With my broken temporary teeth, ice cream is one of the only treats I can still enjoy right now… good thing I have the cutest little helper. 🍀🍦🐾

Charm misses the big box the first time, but goes right back for it and gets it on try #2. 🙃💚 Such a good boy — always such a big help❤️‍🩹

My health has been declining pretty significantly lately, and with everything happening with my teeth 🦷 😭 being left stuck in a broken set, I’ve been completely exhausted and out of it.

Apparently so out of it that I can’t even make it through the alphabet anymore. 🤷‍♀️ But somehow I still know one thing for sure: Charm is extremely cute, and honestly, his little face is always helping me get through some really hard days. 🥹🐾

Some heroes wear capes. Mine wears a service-dog vest. 🐾❤️

Charm is my true little hero. He sits through every long dental visit completely calm and focused, never a distraction, always watching me. He even knows how to help lower my heart rate by licking my wrist. 🥹 There truly is nothing like the bond with a service dog.

Throwback to Charm, Aaron and I rushing to an early morning dental appointment at Manhattan Arch Implant Center on the Upper East Side. 🗽

This is Charm doing what Charm does best — navigating life like a pro. 💙 Close call with a bicycle while crossing the street! 🍀 Luckily, he’s always so focused and completely unfazed by everything 💚 He’s so amazing to go through all this with me🐾👀

Hopefully only a few more visits until my finals. 🤞🦷 I can’t wait to finally be out of pain, eating and enjoying my new smile. 💕✨

One year later… ❤️‍🩹
What a taxing journey this has been — 20+ appointments, many lasting over 4+ hours, so much time and hard work put into getting me my teeth. 🦷🩷‍🩹

Through it all, I’ve had my two true Prince Charmings, Aaron & Charm, and my true lifesavers at Manhattan Arch Implant Center , drscottkim & Dr. Jacqueline Katz. 🐾👑🫶🏼

To Aaron — my constant, my caregiver, and the love of my life. I never imagined finding someone who could embrace everything that comes with my disabilities Thank you for keeping me alive I Love You 💕

To Manhattan Arch Implant Center , drscottkim & Dr. Jacqueline Katz — thank you for your continued effort and care in getting me my teeth back. We’re not at the finish line yet, but we can’t wait to get there — pain-free, with beautiful, functioning teeth. 🦷✨🙏🏼

Charm Update — Day 21 ❤️‍🩹🐾

Good news 🙏 Charm finally seems to be doing better. His appetite and personality are coming back, He’s getting lots of love, medicine, rest, we keep taking things one day at a time 💚
Thankfully We’re seeing real signs of Recovery slowly but surely ❤️‍🩹 🥹

Thank you all so much for the prayers, support, caring messages, well wishes, and kindness through all of this. Please keep Charm in your thoughts as we get through this final leg of recovery. ❤️‍🩹🍀
