Traveling with little ones is pure magic, but let’s be honest—it also requires a strategy! 🏝️👶
As a travel planner (and a mom!), I’m always trying to find new and better ways to keep vacations smooth. Here are my top 3 tips for conquering Atlantis with a toddler in tow:
🐠 1. Utilize the Quiet Zones: When the main pool areas at Aquatica get loud, head into the underground tunnels of The Dig aquarium. The cool air, dim lighting, and mesmerizing fish are incredibly soothing for an overstimulated toddler. It's the perfect mid-day wind-down & cool-down activity!
🛒 2. Pack "Frictionless" Entertainment: Always bring a few lightweight items for room downtime or restaurant waits. On this trip, a homemade “I Spy” game was a lifesaver! I created a little bingo board for various places during our travels and my little one loved pulling it out to “explore” with her family members.
🛏️ 3. Stick to a Semi-Routine: The beauty of staying at Harborside Resort is that you have a separate living room and bedroom. You don't have to sit in the dark while your little one naps! We could easily head back to our villa for a reliable afternoon rest, ensuring everyone was happy and ready for dinner. Those nights that everyone wasn’t so “restaurant ready”… the villa was perfect for pizza in!
Firsthand experience means I know exactly how to tailor a resort itinerary to match your family's unique rhythm. Also - feel free to reach out if you’d like a copy of my “I Spy” game cards for your travels!
