We also welcomed new partner M&M Delivery Service and owner Karl Beamon -- they provide exceptional services (check their Google reviews!) for local deliveries and moving.

Our highlighted community partner this month is PETquoson, where we learn the story behind owner Leanne Sylvia and her quest to provide local premium dog and cat products in a very nice retail boutique setting in Poquoson!

We recapped our fun B2B event at Gather 757 in Newport News, met Margo the adorable Goldendoodle, got a delicious recipe for Lemon Lush, saw resident pictures from Mother's Day, and more!

Our neighborhood was treated to a beautiful dinner at NEST Kitchen & Taphouse this week -- we had the use of their private event space and were treated to delicious foods, including cheeseburger sliders, charcuterie boards, fried ravioli, crab cakes, meatballs, desserts, and more -- what a treat!

The event space is completely private, totally customizable, and opens up to the pool deck for events in warmer weather. It's a warm and welcoming space for events of all sizes, and food and service were top notch!

It was so exciting to attend the groundbreaking ceremony yesterday for our new partner Primrose School of Yorktown and owner Amber Lempke! This new top-notch private preschool and daycare will be located in the Grafton area of Yorktown and will bring services that inspire a lifelong love of learning through early childhood education.

Open to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, they are accepting new families now for when they open! Their accredited curriculum encourages critical thinking, creativity, and confidence so students thrive academically and personally.

One of my favorite neighborhood magazine traditions - our Kindergarten photo shoot! We feature our neighborhood's rising Kindergarteners each year in our August issue, and they share what they are most looking forward to next year!

A huge thanks to Kevin Francis Photography for providing the photo shoot (www.kevinfrancisphotography.smugmug.com) -- he graciously donates his time and effort each year to make it happen.

Yes, it was hot, and yes, we were racing against the thunderstorms, and yes, the kids were antsy, BUT we were fortified with Capri Sun juices and Goldfish snacks, so we made it happen -- kids were troopers and I can't wait to share the photos in our August issue!

We had an amazing neighborhood night out this week at Riverwalk Restaurant in Yorktown. Owner Sid Hall and his excellent team made sure we were warmly welcomed, well-fed, and had a beautiful place to spend time with fellow residents and our Stroll magazine partners!

We were treated to a delicious menu (and the food was spot on), including fruit and cheese, flatbread pizza, salmon dip, scallops, lamb meatballs, duck wings, and a variety of desserts.
