The first episode of Who is Moab is now live.
The Moab Office of Tourism challenged our team to create something different. Not another destination campaign, but a series focused on the people who make Moab what it is.

Meet Tyler and Kaleigh Welch of Ride Moab Industries. Their family has called Moab home for seven generations, and today they’re helping raise the eighth.

Every place has a story. This is the first in ‘Who is Moab.’

The smallest stand. The biggest welcome.
The best destination stories are rarely about the destination itself. They are about the people.

For this campaign, we used a simple lemonade stand to showcase something much bigger; A community that shows up. A neighborhood that comes alive. The kind of place where strangers become friends and visitors feel like they belong.

Because what makes a place memorable isn’t what you find there. It’s who welcomes you when you arrive.

reelCreative has officially launched Who is Moab in partnership with the Moab Office of Tourism, a four-part documentary-style series now live on the Discover Moab website.

The project takes a people-first approach to destination storytelling, moving beyond landscapes and attractions to focus on the individuals who shape Moab’s identity.

Earlier this year, we partnered with the Moab Office of Tourism to produce “Who is Moab,” a four-part documentary series that explores one of America’s most recognizable destinations through the people who call it home. Artists. Guides. Locals.

It’s a project we’re incredibly proud of, and one that pushed us creatively in every way we hoped it would.

We are excited to be kicking off the sharing of this project during National Travel and Tourism Week, a fitting time to celebrate the people and places that make travel worth taking in the first place.

This is just the start. Each episode, behind the scenes looks, and more from the ‘Who Is Moab’ will be rolling out over the coming weeks and months!

This piece is just one moment from a larger story we recently helped tell with Illinois Valley Community College, focusing on the stories of three unique students.

Instead of leaning on a loud, brand-centered message, this project was built around something simpler. Real people and real paths. LaQuan’s story is a reminder that there’s no single timeline, just the decision to start.

IVCC is doing meaningful work creating opportunities for students at every stage, and this was a great project to be part of.

It all started with the landscape.

Before the clients, before the productions, it was just us, a couple of cameras, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Photographing the natural beauty of this planet is what sparked everything for us.

This Earth Day, we’re grateful for this wonderful planet we all call home, and the places that shaped our perspective and continue to inspire the way we see and tell stories.
