Two weeks into filming on our YOUNGSTOWN MOB MOVIE and it’s been an incredible experience so far. This is an appreciation post to everyone who has helped in some capacity, including our crew, our sponsors, locations, etc. Thank you to Skyway Drive-In for letting us take the big screen back to 1980 last night. It was a great night of filming! Thanks to Tom Gregory for grabbing this shot on his drone.
Thank you to all of the vintage car owners (especially John & Linda Morelli) who spent their Labor Day with us as well. We put out a call for any cars pre-1981 and we got a variety from the 80s all the way back to the 50s.
Thank you to House of Bennys for catering the Drive-In scene with pasta, meatballs and the biggest tub of wedding soup we’ve ever seen.
Nick Kistler and the residents of his Cook Ave apartment building in Boardman let us take over their building, carport and street as we fired guns well into the night on Sunday. Thank you everyone! And VIXII cinema came up huge for us, ordering a massive pasta dinner for the cast and crew. And we needed a last-minute generator over the holiday weekend so Gary Pezzuolo made it happen!
A huge shoutout and thanks to Tara Payton, who allowed us to film in her house until 5AM the other night! It was great because the house still had the 1970s motif from when her parents lived there. John and Linda Morelli were there the whole night with us! And Sunrise Inn of Warren made us 14 pizzas to keep everyone going all night!
We also did some visual fx shots for the movie at Choffin Career & Technical Center on Friday night so thank you Youngstown City SD.
