There are places inside us that cannot be reached through noise, striving, or thinking harder.

“The Seat of the Soul” is an invitation to become still enough to listen.

To quiet the outside world.
To breathe.
To turn inward.
To move beyond the chatter of the mind and reconnect with the deeper awareness that has been there all along.

For centuries, spiritual traditions have spoken of an inner center of intuition and expanded consciousness. Today, we may use different language to describe those experiences—but the invitation remains the same: be still, become present, and listen beneath the noise.

This song is meant to feel like a meditation—not simply something you hear, but something you enter.

Maybe the answers we search for aren't always somewhere outside of us.

Maybe sometimes we have to become quiet enough to hear what the soul already knows.

**What if the person you’ve spent your whole life trying to become… was never really you?**

How much of who we are was shaped by what other people needed us to be?

The good daughter.
The devoted mother.
The perfect partner.
The strong one.
The caretaker.
The peacemaker.
The person who learned to bend, please, perform, and survive.

And somewhere underneath all those roles… **there you were.**

My new song, **“The Privilege of a Lifetime,”** was inspired by the idea at the heart of Carl Jung’s work—that one of the great journeys of our lives is becoming who we truly are.

It's also at the heart of the book I am writing, **Becoming Me.**

For so long, I thought becoming meant adding more—being better, stronger, wiser, more accomplished.

But maybe becoming isn't about adding anything at all.

Maybe it's about finally having the courage to **let go of everything that was never truly you.**

And perhaps my favorite realization in the song:

That one stayed with me.
