Sapphire Aesthetics and Wellness has seen increased visibility and patient volume since relocating to the Prosper Centre at U.S. Route 224 and Market Street. The move allowed the clinic to expand its offerings, which include Botox, IV therapy and pelvic floor therapy, in a space designed and built out by DeSalvo Construction.

DeSalvo transformed the previously unfinished shell into a fully functional medical facility, coordinating with Olsavsky Jaminet Architects to manage logistics, design and materials selection. The four-month build-out included custom treatment rooms, upgraded utilities and accessibility improvements aimed at accommodating Sapphire’s diverse client base.

CEO and nurse practitioner Ashley Vidale said the new location improves access for older clients and supports future growth, including a planned expansion into Niles.

Amanda Marie McAuley's passing ended a life of promise and potential. But thanks to the efforts of her mother, Donna McAuley, Amanda will be more than a statistic
McAuley channeled her grief into action to write and produce “Amanda: She Didn’t Mean to Die.” The stage play, with original music, is based on her daughter’s life.

A new play premiering in Youngstown honors a Poland native’s life and raises awareness about the dangers of opioid addiction.

Shutdown Doesn’t Deter Market | The Investors Edge

"Stocks wobbled a bit at the end of the third quarter, likely due to portfolio rebalancing, but it could hardly be called a pullback, and it didn’t last but a couple of days.
By mid-day October 1st, the S&P was once again making new all-time highs despite a government shutdown, which seemed to be more of a positive catalyst than a reasons to be worried.
And why not? Every shutdown over the past few decades has been resolved within a couple of weeks, and rarely has it resulted in any impact on the economy and/or markets.
For the time being, the story remains pretty much the same, earnings revisions are improving, money supply is growing thanks to the Fed, and investors are feeling the FOMO – that’s fear of missing out for those of you who haven’t heard the FOMO acronym before – now you know.
We remain steadfastly on watch for signs something is changing, but for now anyway, the trend is still your friend." – John Stewart, Chief Investment Officer, Farmers Trust Co.

Column: Beating Big Competitors with Local Marketing

"Owners of small businesses that sell to consumers (B2C) often express frustration about competing against national firms that have big marketing budgets.
But even in a small, mature market like Youngstown-Warren, local B2C businesses have a wealth of wallet-friendly marketing opportunities that can help them succeed." – George Farris, CEO of Farris Marketing and StrategiX Social

Stage Review: Laughs Aplenty in YSU’s ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’
"Introducing a younger generation to classic American theater can be very rewarding on many fronts.
The actors have the opportunity to learn not only about theater, but also get a chance to take part in an unforgettable stage production. For the audience, it is the opportunity to relive a great play from the past that has been bypassed in favor of more contemporary fare.
Both things happened Friday night as Youngstown State University opened its 2025-26 theater season with Joseph Kesselring’s classic comedy, 'Arsenic and Old Lace.'" – J.E.Ballantyne Jr.
