We're looking forward to working with composer Alex Cap in September, producing his orchestral + choral work, "Mensurae in Aeternum". We're going to be working with a full, 47-piece orchestra and also a full choral section for this project. You can learn more about Alex below.

A New Jersey to Los Angeles transplant, Alex Cap is a composer with a background as a classical pianist. Aside from working on films like Holly Star, Rocky Roads, From Sea to Rising Sea, and A Spartan Dream and games like Bloobo, Blindsight: War of the Wardens, and Task Attack, he has written several original wind ensemble, concert band, and choir pieces. In 2024, Cap was commissioned to write Mensurae in Aeternum. This piece was privately commissioned to honor the 125th Anniversary of the establishment of the National Bureau of Standards, which became known as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in 1988. NIST will host an 80th Anniversary Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM) in 2028, during which this piece will be played.

Since our inception 12 years ago, veteran engineer / producer, Mike Talanca has been an integral part of who we are, how we operate and continues to serve as one of the most critical, foundational members of our team. Outside of his instantaneously infectious good humor, very few people realize what an extraordinary list of adventures, life experiences and wealth of experiential insight he brings not just our sessions, but to musicians all over the world. It was a real treat to work with veteran conductor Michele Monigold, who served as our guest conductor for some of our recent scoring sessions. It's always a learning experience to see the way different conductors communicate, express and connect with the orchestra. We just completed the first phase of scoring for the 'Dietrich & Maria' musical, produced by Glenn A. Pickett and author David Goodman. We're producing this ambitious musical in a modular format starting with the string ensemble, then the woodwinds / brass, followed by percussion and bass, and finally wrapping things up by recording the vocals in California. It's a pleasure to be able to partner with you on this journey, Glenn.

After an incredibly intense week of no less than 5 scoring sessions each lasting approximately 3 hours per session within the scope of 4 days, we were just as slap happy and giddy as we were focused right before we recorded the final couple of bars for our client (composer Glenn A Pickett, who joined us remotely from California for his last session with us). We then waiting with baited breath for his approval - which he wholeheartedly gave! We will be sharing more information about our incredible week together in the days to come. For now, we hope you enjoy this little clip of our final take!

Later this month we're going to be working with composer Greg Sgammato, producing the score to his soundtrack for the film "Party USA". We're thrilled to be partnering with him on this project! You can find out more about Greg and his unique career at his website below.

Greg is a composer and songwriter for film and television. His first breakthrough came in the Los Angeles standup comedy scene, writing podcast theme music for Comedy Store regulars Craig Conant and Brian Simpson. Greg has scored award-winning projects such as Leif Gantvoort and Brian Spillane’s feature comedy A Pretty Good Movie, Ithalia Price’s documentary on women in comedy Laugh Now, Cry Later, and Nikolas C. Smith’s Animated Television Pilot The Marching Pride of Cadence High. Currently, Greg is scoring Jared Sprouse's directorial debut in the dark comedy, Party USA.

Greg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of North Texas, where he studied percussion performance, composition, and arts marketing. He is a voting member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists and is on the communications committee of the Copyright Alliance.

Greg Sgammato is a Los Angeles-based television and film composer with a sincere, curious writing style.

We're thrilled to invite Michele N. Monigold to the stage as a guest conductor for some of our upcoming sessions in June! Michele holds degrees from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and The University of Akron. She studied conducting with Eugene Corporon and H. Teri Murai. Michele has recently retired as the director of bands and music department head at Jackson High School. She continues to be active conducting Canton Youth Symphony, performing with Akron Symphonic Winds and the Packard Band, and guest conducting with the Canton Concert Band and Akron Symphonic Winds. Michele is an active OMEA adjudicator and clinician throughout the state.

This June we’re going to be embarking on an incredibly ambitious, 3 week series of recording sessions for one of the most unique projects that we have ever produced. We will be partnering with esteemed composer Dr. Glenn A Pickett and author Dr. David G. Goodman as we score the full, theatrical soundtrack of their musical, “Dietrich & Maria”, a timely and historically significant love story shared between German theologian / activist Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and his fiancé, Maria Von Wedemeyer. We will be sharing more information about this incredible undertaking in the days to come.

It was a true pleasure to produce composer Dana Howell's intricate work, 'On The Wings of Butterflies'. This piece was composed in the style of a 'Pierrot Ensemble' (made popular by Schoenberg in 1920), marked by incredible precision, intentional abstraction and constant meter / time changes that are no less than acrobatic. It was really fun to take on a smaller, more intimate project via a 'Pierrot Ensemble' configuration this evening. VERY challenging music with twists and turns at every corner, but so incredibly fulfilling. More info to come soon!
