The Jambar is the independent student newspaper of Youngstown State University. Since being founded by Burke Lyden in 1931, The Jambar has won nine Associated Collegiate Press Honors.

YSU's Office of Veteran Affairs Associate Director Patrick Williams, discussed Warrior Awareness Training that covers military mental health issues and hurdles student veterans face when attending college. Training dates are October 8 and November 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carl A. Nunziato Veterans Resource Center. Registration can be found at ysucampusgroups.org.
