Morning!
Thanks for the huge turn out yesterday. I had hunters sending me pictures and videos throughout the day. I never stick around after hiding the treasure, so it was cool to see everyone enjoying the hunt. I was there early. It’s wild to see the location go from me being the only person in the park, to PEOPLE EVERYWHERE in the pictures and videos you guys sent me.
The popularity of these treasure hunts is proof that Youngstown is lacking fun, family friendly activities, that are 100% free. These treasure hunts fill that void and allow everyone to get out and enjoy some of Youngstown’s coolest locations, while also potentially winning a little bit of cash.
PLEASE just do me a huge favor and remember to be respectful to the grounds of the treasure hunt locations and also to your fellow hunters. I was getting messages and comments yesterday stating that some hunters were trampling over landscaping flowers and bushes. Some hunters were even opening electrical boxes and going into restricted areas. Remember to read the caption of each video. Yesterday’s video caption clearly stated that the treasure will be in a main area and/or reaching distance of a pathway. The treasure will also never be up in a tree or somewhere dangerous.
We all need to do our part, come together, and protect this cool new attraction within our community. Rule breakers risk us getting shut down. So please KINDLY remind fellow hunters to be respectful if they are doing something they shouldn’t.
Also, if you ever see someone find the treasure, PROTECT THEM. Maybe help them back to their car. When YOU eventually find one, you’d expect your fellow hunters to do the same. I have big plans for the future of these hunts. That includes larger cash amounts. In order to do that, the values of our community need to be respect, honor, and kindness towards one another. 🫡
Thanks for your attention and good luck out there! 🕵️♂️
