10 Ways to reform Michigan in order to cut costs and encourage growth:
1) Offer free higher ed to everyone (even out-of-staters) but charge them 3% on their income for the next 20 years.
2) In every county merger all the police departments, fire departments, park systems, library system and school districts into county wide systems.
3) Switch from a winner-takes-all voting system to a single transferable vote system (google it if you're not sure what it is).
4) Double public education funding.
5) Reduce prison funding by 50%, commute all non-violent offenders to intense community service.
6) Build a network of high speed bus or light rail between all cities with 20K population.
7) Double the number of police and firefighters in Saginaw, Flint, Benton Harbor, Muskegon, and Detroit.
8) Merge the City of Detroit with Wayne County.
9) Ban tax payer funded party primary elections.
10) Restore workers' rights and repeal Right to Freeload law.
