Lauren here- what is the deal with Amie Rocks? (For those that understood the Seinfeld reference, kudos!) Well, I started this page so I wouldn’t flood my personal page with so much Amie, and well, rocks. But my husband and I quickly learned we could turn a hobby we love so much into some extra income (plus, we were running out room for new rocks.) While I was currently living out my Mom and I’s travel bucket list, TJ has not travelled hardly anywhere as an adult. So I wanted him to really experience the gift of travel. We are all about less stuff, more experiences. Travel truly changes you and teaches you life lessons in a way you can’t explain. While my Mom and I just returned from our first ever cruise (to Alaska!) in August, I wanted TJ to experience it as well. I booked another cruise for Alaska in August 2026, not knowing what was to come. I recently have had some post-op very rare complications that are limiting my mobility. So my goal is now to make that trip. I want to walk independently again and TJ to experience all the beauty Alaska has to offer. We use our “rock money” to save for this trip. So truly, thank you for always supporting us, even as the goalpost has changed- this trip is no longer ‘just a vacation’ but hopefully to celebrate a full or near-full recovery for me. But I am determined to make it there! Your purchases also allow us to help non-profits, such as our previous fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association, and this month’s fundraiser for Cortez Rescue (the one that saved Amie.) Yes, it’s about dogs and rocks, but sometimes we like to share the deeper stuff too. We hope you are all having a joyous and peaceful holiday season ❤️
