Big Buddha is a Television and Film Production Company, with offices in Shanghai, Montreal and our main office, here in Yuba City.

We are proud to say that any motion or still project assigned, we can handle. We write, produce, direct and shoot motion projects of all sizes. We are positioned to handle medium independent films as well as television productions of any size. Our minimum crew package consists of a 5 member team. Our largest productions are up to 100+ crew including all support, security and production assistants.

Complete preproduction, production and post. Casting, staffing, coordination, scouting, permits handled in-house. We are largely an on-location team with studio facilities available when needed.

We do a lot of feature film work. This one is a special film. My team did all of the lighting, electric, rigging and grip work on this one. It was a pleasure being Lighting Director with such a talented and intelligent cast. Happy to see it in release

Day of crowd scenes! What is it about Professional Film Crews? You’ll never mistake our people with actors and extras. Serious, professional demeanor? Mmmm. Slightly off center, goofy, childlike behavior, punctuated by manic bursts of poetic synchronicity. Yup.

Keep your eye on Anya Taylor Joy. I binged all 7 episodes of Queens Gambit on Netflix last night. Production values are very good. Well shot and well lit. Sure, there are things that I would change or adjust. But the acting...some moments of genuine brilliance.
