We haven’t done a creamy white piece in *ages* but we finally found the right piece for it!

This French-inspired table is built from solid maple and mahogany. It features dainty appliqués, scalloped edges, and cabriole legs. There is a stretcher spanning the bottom that adds stability and support, while also adding visual interest.

Because the top couldn’t be saved for a wood restoration, we took this opportunity to embrace our creativity instead.

We layered 5 different colors of milk paint in similar shades to create texture and dimension that is reminiscent of European-Gustavian finishes. It has been sealed with both clear and dark wax for an aged aesthetic.

This narrow piece would be a beautiful addition to a long entryway, behind a sofa or sectional to create a separation of space, or a wide hallway.

[SOLD]

This General Store cabinet circa 1910 is just the right size for those super long walls that need a narrow piece of furniture to fill it out!

Built from solid fir and pine, this underwent a major transformation [scroll to last photo to see the “before” picture].

When we picked it up, it was covered in a rainbow of paint splatter. It used to sit up on a table, too, but that table was long gone. In its original form, we felt it was too rustic. We wanted to make it nice and something people would love to display in their homes.

After thoroughly cleaning the exterior and every single cubby, we stripped off all the old paint mess and gave it a deep, rich stain. We also built it a plinth base to sit on so that it looks elevated and complete. Like it was always made this way. The base needed to be thoughtfully aged and distressed before color matching it to the rest of the cabinet.

A very neat farmhouse or industrial salvage piece that has been completely redone; uniquely preserving the age and patina that makes pieces like this so cozy and inviting.

Placement ideas 💡

* An entryway to create an immediate vibe and set the tone. Try a large vintage mirror or gallery wall above it 😍
* A sunroom or mudroom for extra shelf-storage.
* A bonus room for games, controllers, blu-rays, etc.

This one certainly tested our skills [scroll until the last photo to see what it looked like before we got a hold of it! It has been completely reimagined!]

Standing at a whopping 7’ tall, this is a substantial piece of furniture that can fill a space while adding the character and warmth that antiques do.

Primitive in style, we know this cabinet to have been built in the late 1800s. It is built from solid chestnut AND walnut, making it super heavy and of exceptional quality.

We removed the walnut door panels with the geometric oak appliques in order to install glass instead. This is NOT an easy or quick process, as we had to unglue the mortise and tenon joints and then use a router to create an inset for the glass. Several hours were spent just on this process so that it was done properly and looks purposeful; like its always been like that.

The bones were there, but it desperately needed to be reinforced for stability’s sake. About 50 glue blocks were added throughout, as many break and go missing over time. It is totally solid now.

The piece had original pulls, but was missing four of them. We unfortunately couldn’t source more originals to supplement; but we did locate replicas! Since the hardware on the doors were not original, we replaced those with latches to match. All of the hardware is cast iron.

The original finish was an orange-y-brown hue due to an amber shellac finish. The process to change this is too extensive to list, but we were able to acheive this warm, neutral tone without losing the patina that makes pieces like this so special.

We built new shelves for inside the cabinet and color matched them to the exterior.

One of a kind because we partially created it! No one else has a piece quite like this one.

This piece is versatile and can be used in almost any room.

Sometimes pieces are born from our imaginations 💭 We love when we have the opportunity to be creative and challenge ourselves; it keeps things interesting!

We loved the overall size and construction of this cabinet, but with a mis-match of wood colors and hardware, we were inspired to make some really big changes.

We saw it as a display or linen hutch, on top of six spacious drawers. We added cast iron replica hardware that made more sense for its more primitive design.

We know this cabinet was originally built in the late 1800s to very early 1900s, and it is made from solid chestnut and walnut. It towers in a room; offering tons of storage.

If you love a touch of earthy moodiness, you will love this dainty inlaid mahogany occasional table.

It was built during the Edwardian Era; circa 1901-1910. Its elegant Neoclassical design features slender turned legs, carved motifs, a single dovetailed drawer, and a cabinet with faux drawer fronts. Perfect for storing books and other larger items. It has original brass hardware as well as a French “Rouge Royal” marble top.

It is in excellent antique condition with only small amounts of aged patina that brings a warmth to your space.

These types of tables work well as a nightstand or to cozy up a small wall between windows, doors, end of a hallway, etc.
